Visit Ndere Island National Park
It is an island of serenity and beauty located off the Kisumu- Bondo road. It takes approximately 45 minutes with a speed boat direct from Kisumu. A wide variety of animals like hippos, baboons, monitor lizards, snakes, Nile crocodiles, impalas, sitatunga antelope, waterbucks, zebras and different species of birds can be found at the park.LEARN MORE

Visit Kisumu Museum
The museum was opened in 1980. It is located along the Kisumu- Kericho Highway. It features a gallery of cultural materials of people from Western Kenya, in particular, Luo artefacts and other traditional aspects like the Luo homestead. Kisumu’s Sunset Boat Ride
If you find yourself in Kisumu, this is a good way to spend a couple hours. You can take a Boda (motorcycle taxi) to Dunga Bay and basically just walk to the dock where there are boats waiting at all times to take visitors on a boat tour. Kit-Mikayi Shrine
It is a large rock formation, with about 3 rocks on top. It is situated approximately 29 kilometres from Kisumu Town. It is a sacred site amongst the locals who live there. They conduct prayers and fasting sessions at the facility. It is also a pilgrimage site for the Legio Maria sect. Impala Park Sanctuary & Camping Site
It is located approximately 3 kilometres from Kisumu CBD. It is a beautiful sanctuary that hosts impalas, vervet monkeys, the rare sitatunga antelope, buffalos, giraffes, cheetahs, zebras and other primates. It is also home to five campsites with spectacular views of Lake Victoria, the world’s second largest freshwater lake.
